Woman Fatally Shot at Vintage at the Grove Apartments, Suspect in Custody

Police said that the shooting was not a random act and that the victim was known to the alleged suspect.

A 23-year old man is in custody and a 23-year old woman is dead Saturday after police say the suspect shot the victim after a disturbance at the Vintage at the Grove Apartments early Saturday morning. 

According to Manchester Police, numerous 911 calls at approximately 3:40 a.m. Saturday morning complained of a disturbance at the apartment complex, located at 700 Falls View Dr. Officers responded to find an unidentified 23-year old woman on the ground outside the complex suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the woman was transported to Hartford Hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead.

Police apprehended Steve Simpson, 23, who resides inside the apartment complex at the scene and charged him with murder. Police are continuing to investigate the crime, but noted that it was not a random incident and that the victim was known to Simpson.

This was in Manchester? Where is Falls View Drive? There is a Falls View Road in Vernon I believe. This article leaves me confused as you quote Manchester Police.

Off of Horizon Way. MPD is quoted because it's in Manchester as the article clearly stated. And to answer your follow up question, before you can ask it, Horizon Way is off of Tolland Turnpike.

Thank you for your explaination "reader". I located the relatively new area in Manchester shortly after I posted. If you go back and read the article you will note that the only referrence to Manchester was the quote of the Manchester Police leaving the reader to assume the incident took place in Manchester. Being that I was not familiar with the area mentioned I was seeking more information.
