Windsor Resident Arrested on Tax Charges
Adrian Nelson was arrested at the Department of Revenue Services headquarters.
According to CBS Connecticut, Adrian Nelson, an employee of the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, was arrested at the department's headquarters by Department Tax Enforcement agents Fri., Sept. 16.
CBS reported that Nelson was charged with "one count each of Unauthorized Inspection of Tax Return Information and third-degree Computer Crime," and "the warrant alleges Nelson used his DRS computer to access confidential taxpayer information without a legitimate business need."
Nelson was given a Septembe 30 court date, and released on a $5,000 surety bond, according to CBS.
