Windsor Police Arrest Man Suspected of Robbing Poquonock Ave. Bank

Windsor Police have arrested the man suspected of robbing a Windsor Federal Bank on Dec. 10, 2013, the department said Wednesday morning.

According to Windsor Police Capt. Tom LePore, David Bruhin, 44, was arrested Tues., Jan. 7 and charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny, and he was held on $500,000 bond.

Bruhin, a Southwick, Mass. resident, has been in the custody of authorities since Dec. 11, 2013, when he was found by Hartford public works employees suffering from self-inflicted wounds in his car.

Bruhin was reportedly transported to Hartford Hospital, where he remained in recovery from his wounds. He was served with a warrant and charged upon his release.

Police say Bruhin walked into the Windsor Federal Bank branch on Poquonock Avenue at 2:33 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2013 and handed the teller a not implying he was in possession of a weapon.

Bruhin, police say, fled the scene with an udetermined amount of cash.
