Windsor Motel Shooting Suspect Apprehended by Police

31-year-old Jose Restrepo remains held on $500,000 bond for multiple gun charges.

The man Windsor police say shot up a Flamingo Inn motel room in February was recently apprehended by police and remains in custody, held on $500,000 bond.

Police say 31-year-old Mario Restrepo fired a pistol inside a room at the Windsor Avenue motel, causing damage to the room.

Restrepo has been chaged with criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit, illegal discharge of a firearm and second-degree breach of peace.

According to court records, Restrepo is a convicted felon, having pleaded guilty to narcotics possession in 2010 and again in 2011.

Restrepo was also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges in 2008 and driving under the influence in 2005.

He is set to appear in Enfield Superior Court on April 5.
