Windsor Man Facing Charges for School Bus Incident
The incident began with a monitor and disorderly student complaint, police said.
A Windsor man is facing three criminal charges after an incident on a local school bus, an arrest report indicates.
Marcus Tappin, 33, of 11 Donna Lane, is facing a third-degree assault charge, a risk of injury to a child charge and a second-degree unlawful restraint charge.
The investigation originally stemmed from a report of a disorderly student on a school bus, according to an arrest report. Tappin was working as a school bus monitor at the time, police said.
Tappin's bond was set at $10,000 and he was assigned a court date of June 5, police said.
Police spokesman Lt. William Meier said the student, a 14-year-old girl, is a Vernon resident who was placed in an East Hartford School. The bus was on its way to East Hartford near the intersection of Bolton Road and South Frontage Road when the incident took place, he said.
Tappin was employed by the East Hartford Public School system, Meier said.
