According to the incident report filed by Windsor Police, authorities were notified by the branch’s manager, who received a complaint of $1,500 having been withdrawn from customer’s account in late 2012.

Additional complaints from separate customers soon followed, the manager told Windsor police, including unauthorized withdrawals of $850 and $100.

According to the incident report, the customers claimed to be out of state when the withdrawals were made, and Velez allegedly forged the customers’ signatures to fill out required withdrawal slips and complete the transactions.

The branch manager, the incident report reveals, was able to track the transactions to Velez’ computer and confirmed the signatures on the withdrawal slips did not match those of the customers.

When confronted by her manager, the incident report says, Velez neither denied nor admitted to making the withdrawals.

Additionally, the branch manager said there was no sign of deposits to Velez or her husbands’ accounts matching the withdrawals.

Velez is scheduled to be arraigned in Enfield Superior Court on April 10.
