Police Search For Convicted Sexual Offender

State Police are in search of Christian Robert Santiago in connection with sexual assault.

State Police have reported that they are actively pursuing Christian Robert Santiago (pictured right), who, police said, "has active, extraditable, felony warrant... in connection with the sexual assault of a child."

According to police, Santiago, 28, "is a convicted sexual offender with connections to the Crips [gang]."

"Santiago is aware of his warrant and has made the comment that he will not go back to prison," police said.

Santiago has family in Enfield, police said, as well as connections to Winsted, Torrington, New Britain in addition to relatives in New York City and upstate New York.

Police have described Santiago as standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, having black hair with brown eyes, and numerous tattoos (photo included above).

Police are urging anyone with knowledge of Santiago's whereabouts to contact Connecticut State Police at 800-497-0403 (in-state) or 860-824-2500. Confidentiality will be retained, police said.
