The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has been called to the scene.

State Police have confirmed that they have responded to a large diesel fuel spill on Route 20 near its intersection with Interstate 91 on Tuesday night.

Police could not identify the cause of the spill, but a tractor trailer was pulled off to the side of the road, and appeared to be the possible source of the leak.

In addition to State Police from Troop W, local fire units responded to the scene of the spill, which was reported before 9 p.m.
