Three Fatal Accidents on State Roads Over Labor Day Weekend
State Police are using aircrafts, unmarked cars and extra manpower to ensure safety on state roads over Labor Day weekend, they say.
The extra effort from state authorities began Fri., Aug. 30 and will continue through Mon., Sept. 2.
As of 2 p.m. Sun. Sept. 1, 161 accidents have occurred over the holiday weekend, including three fatalities.
Other traffic stats include 993 speeding infractions, 138 seat belt violations, 2249 "other" motor vehicle violations (hazardous moving, cell phone use, etc.) and 32 DUI's.
