Suspicious Package Causes Evacuations
The Hartford Bomb Squad was called by Windsor Police Wednesday.
Windsor Police were forced to call in the Hartford Bomb Squad Wednesday in response to a suspicious package in Windsor Center, Police Capt. Tom LePore said.
According to LePore, the Hartford squad was contacted in response to a complaint about a suspicious package that was "placed on top of the mailbox" at the .
LePore said that the immediate area was evacuated, and officers opened the packaged, which was determined to be non-threatening.
