Police Prepare Warrant for Fatal Windsor Avenue Crash

An investigation into the death of 17-year-old Christopher E. Torres has led Windsor police to seek the arrest and file charges against those involved.

Windsor police are currently preparing an arrest warrant associated with a fatal crash that took the life of 17-year-old Windsor resident early Friday, according to Police Chief Kevin Searles.

An investigation has allowed police to identify the identity of all the three individuals in the vehicle with Christopher Torres at the time of the crash, Searles said, adding that the department has obtained formal statements from each of , leaving Torres.

According to Searles, all four individuals were friends and were together attending a social event the night of the accident.

Searles also said he is currently unable to comment on the nature of charges any of the individuals face or identify the individuals who will be charged. Searles also said he is unable to comment on whether or not drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, adding that the information "may or may not be a part of the charges filed."
