Police: Man Wanted for Shooting at Windsor Motel

Windsor police are searching for Jose Mario Restrepo, who they describe as armed and dangerous.

Windsor Police are actively searching for an East Hartford man in connection with a shooting at Windsor's Flamingo Inn.

Officers are looking to charge 31-year-old Jose Mario Restrepo with unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a pistol and carrying a firearm without a permit, according to a press release.

The weapon used in the February 24 shooting was not recovered at the scene and Restrepo should be considered armed and dangerous, according the press release.

Windsor Police were not immediately available by phone for additional comment.

According to court records, Restrepo is a convicted felon, having pleaded guilty to narcotics possession in 2010 and again in 2011.

Restrepo was also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges in 2008 and driving under the influence in 2005.

According to court records, Restrepo is scheduled to be arraigned at Manchester Superior Court on March 11 for a separate case. In that case, he was charged with second-degree failure to appear and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license or registration.
