PD: Beware of Door-to-Door Scam

Windsor Police are warning residents of donation-seekers claiming they represent the Windsor High football team.

A group of young men are going door-to-door in Windsor, requesting donations in support of the Windsor High School football team. The problem, police say, is that the fundraisers are not legitimate, Windsor Police say.

Police are warning Windsor residents to be aware that the young men, who may be wearing jerseys that say "Windsor" on them, have not been authorized to raise funds by conducting door-to-door fundraisers.

Police encourage residents to immediately call the police department at 860-688-5273 if someone comes to the door soliciting funds for Windsor High football.
