Man Robs Windsor Bank

Police seek the public's help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a Poquonock bank Tuesday afternoon.

A man made off with an undetermined amount of cash after robbing a Windsor bank Tuesday afternoon, police say.

According to Windsor police, the man pictured entered the Windsor Federal Savings Bank on Poquonock Avenue at 2:33 p.m., and handed a note implying he was armed to the teller.

After receiving cash, the man fled the scene in "an older Ford Crown Victoria or Dodge Charger with a Massachusetts license plate," police report.

The suspect is described by Windsor police as a white male of about 35 years of age, having shaggy brown hair, a scruffy beard, and wearing a dark coat.

Police also say the man was in possession of a black backpack.

There were no injuries reported.

Police are now seeking help from the public to determine the identity or whereabouts of the suspect pictured.
