SWAT Team Called to Arrest Convicted Bank Robber on Broad Street
Todd Buocino was taken into custody Thursday morning.
Windsor Police enlisted the assistance of the North Central Municipal Emergency Service Team to arrest Todd Boucino, 41, at his apartment above Thursday morning, police reported.
According to WPD, the Windsor man was taken into custody on the strength of an arrest warrant obtained by the department for violating the conditions of release.
The Emergency Services Team was used by the department "due to Boucino's volatile history... in order to prevent anyone from further harm," police said Thursday morning.

At the time of his 2010 arrest, Boucino was also wanted by the U.S. Marshals "because he has violated the terms of his probation for a federal conviction for bank robbery," Courant.com reported in 2010.

Boucino surrendered peacefully on Thursday, said police, and he was transported to the police department where is is currently being held on $150,000 bond.
He was charged with violating the conditions of release "stemming from a domestic violence arrest from Wed., Oct. 19," according to police.
Boucino's girlfriend was with him at the time of his arrest, police said. She "was not harmed and exited the apartment on her own prior to Boucino's surrender," said police. She was not charged with any crimes.
Boucino is due to appear in court on Fri., Oct. 21.
