What ever happened to...

What ever happened to...
*Respect for parents, adults, teachers?
*Kids filling the parks and backyards for games of baseball, kickball?
*Kids playing outside expending their energy and building imaginations?
*A family sitting down to dinner and actually talking without everyone with their own cell phone in their hand?
*Kids knocking on doors asking to mow lawns, rake leaves so they can earn a little spending money?
It is so refreshing to watch the kids at our campground play all day-listen to them, their games, their imagination.  Isn't this what builds the adult? These kids make friends quickly, they don't live together yet they all get along and have a great time. They go to bed having met different people from different areas, new friends and exhausted and get a good nights sleep.
Next time you are at a restaurant, watch the family...how many are on cell phones ignoring one another?
I may be called old fashioned, but it is my opinion these are the areas we need to get back to so we can move forward in other areas.
