Upcoming TPZ Meeting

Windsor Citizens,

It has come to the attention of Concerned Mothers and Fathers that on Wednesday, May 14th at 7:30 PM in the Windsor Town Hall, there will be a Public Hearing at the Town Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting. The TPZ Members will consider granting a Special Permit for Special Use which would allow the relocation of the Feline Adoption Center/Cat Adoption Facility from 99 Poquonock Avenue to the 10.6 acres parcel of land on 40 Stevens Mill Road off of Rainbow Road in Windsor.

The applicant, Connecticut Cat Connection, Inc. has obtained an Animal Importer License from the State of Connecticut-Department of Agriculture.  This license allows a facility to take in animals from other states.  Members of Concerned Mothers and Fathers are confused as we thought the Feline Adoption Center/Cat Adoption Facility and our town Windsor Animal Control Officer/Facility served our local animals.  So, why does this non-profit organization with 100 % volunteers need an Animal Importer License?
