My name is John Avedisian and I live in Windsor Ct which is a member of the MDC.

On Wednesday 11/13/13, I attended a Public Hearing on the Proposed Revision to the
Metropolitan District Water Supply Ordinances and Rate increase along with more than 100 angry citizens
who were looking for answers as to why their water bills which had increased more than
300% over the last 3 years. There were many comments and opinions. I expect attendance would have been greater
Had the MDC provided more notice?
Comments included:
No Transparency
Taxation without representation
Lack of regulation by the State of Connecticut
Lack of Financial Transparency
MDC out of Control
Why does the MDC have two CEO’s?
Why does the MDC fail to disclose the salaries of their executives?
The tone of the group was intense.
The goal of this e-mail, is to heighten the awareness of our elected officials in the state legislature to push for the State of Connecticut to regulate the MDC like all other utilities in Connecticut.
