Can someone unemotionally explain to me the pros and cons of common core?  I was educated in Minnesota, which, I believe, had a state wide common core - it may have yet - and it seems to have worked well.    Some school districts have already revamped their curriculum to meet common core standards, so I'm trying to figure out what all the controversy is about.
