Services Set for Accident Victim Heather Dugas

A funeral service for Heather Dugas, 35, of Granby and formerly of Enfield, will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. 

Dugas died in a car accident Friday after her vehicle hit the rear of a parked FedEx truck on Day Hill Road in Windsor. Dugas, who was wearing a seat belt and whose car airbags deployed, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to her obituary, Dugas "was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Devon, and maintained her free spirit in everything she did."

Though the Enfield High School graduate was a motorcycle enthusiast, her family has requested that no motorcycles be present on the day of her funeral.

Burial will follow the service in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
