Obituary: Mary J. (Liddy) Tucker, 81, of Windsor
Mary J. Tucker was director of religious education at St. Gabriel's School in Windsor, St. Mary's School in Simsbury and retired from St. Thomas the Apostle School in West Hartford.
Mary J. (Liddy) Tucker, 81, of Windsor, beloved wife of James P. Tucker, Jr., passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Daniel and Francelia (St. Claire) Liddy, she lived in Windsor for many years. Mary graduated from Notre Dame College, Staten Island, N.Y. and received her master's degree in theology from St. Joseph College, West Hartford.
She had been Director of Religious Education at St. Gabriel's School, Windsor; St. Mary's School, Simsbury; and retired from St. Thomas the Apostle School, West Hartford.
Besides her husband James; she leaves a son James D. Tucker of Windsor. A mass of Christian burial took place on Wednesday, June 4, at St. Gertrude Church, 550 Matianuck Ave., Windsor.
Burial will be private in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to a catholic school of the donor's choice.
