District Improvement Committee Meeting 12/9/2013

As Chairman of the District Improvement Committee, I want to thank all that attended the meeting last night.  It was standing room only and I'm thankful for the 21 people that spoke and candidly shared their concerns, hopes, dreams and possible solutions for improving out District.  The entire Board was present and LISTENED to all that spoke.  The committee (Melissa, Michaela and I) were thrilled by the tone, determination and hope in the room.  Everyone is a stake holder in the process of deriving and implementing solutions.  We plan to hold more forum like last night and perform community outreach.

Our next meeting will have audience to visitors for 3 minutes each speaker.  Afterwards, committee work would be conducted.

Please feel free to share your thoughts on this blog with the understanding that personal information about or complaints  about District employees are not proper and should be referred directly to the District Office.

We have set to tone to address the culture in our schools.  Remember, every day THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL GOING ON IN WINDSOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS; we embrace the good, bad and ugly so that we can deal with the complete package improving performance of ALL students in a moral, fiscally responsible and efficient manner.

Students, parents, District employees, taxpayers, civic organizations, Town Council, town employees, WPD, WVFD, WVA, etc. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU AND ENGAGE YOU IN THE SOLUTION PROCESS.
