Congratulations and reflections

Greetings to all and I trust that all is well with you and yours.  November 5, 2013, the Town of Windsor spoke and I wish to thank all those that stepped up to run for office and congratulations to those elected.  I will personally speak about the Board of Education (BoE) side.

Thank you is in order for Board President Doreen Richardson, Kristin Ingram and Pam DiGiore for their service to our town on the BoE.  Your service is truly appreciated by me and you will be sorely missed.

Congratulations to my fellow Democrats that were elected as we continue to have plenty of work to perform and it will get done.  I look forward to the next two years.

Congratulations to the Republican slate that were elected.  To Mrs Santos, the top vote getter, congratulations on your pending accession to Board President.  The town has spoken and provided us with a board of nine and you in charge.  Leadership is not easy and you will need the support of the other eight to make this work.  Our charge is simple yet complex & complicated to execute however I'm sure all nine are up for the task.

Finally, to the victor go the the spoils.  However, the task of educating our children is still before us and we must and will continue the good fight.  To the nine elected, THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL ALWAYS GOING ON IN WINDSOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS and we will continue to build upon it as we address the issues.  The tag of ALLIANCE DISTRICT must be dropped from us and it will happen sooner rather than later because I believe in every child, every parent, every District employee and all in the Town of Windsor.  I have my mustard seed of faith; please join me with yours.  Grace and peace.
