The Marlon James EER - Where are the Missing Children?

This is the 2nd posting that I did after reading the report.

Page 44 of the MJLU (Marlon James/Loyola University) report indicates that there are 340 students in the 2012 cohort and 413 students in the 2011 cohort.  However, page 71 of the MJLU report deals with only 247 students in the 2012 cohort and 273 students in the 2011 cohort.  What happened to the missing 93 students in the 2012 cohort and 140 students in the 2011 cohort?  ............  My concern is that the data for the missing children would have changed the findings/results of the study.  Who are these missing students?  My quick math is that there is no date for about one third of the students?

Fissel August 31, 2013 at 04:57 PM Wow - great find George. That is a great question. I think it would be of value to compile your noted limitations into a single document and consider sending your concerns to the President of Loyola University considering that Mr. Garanzini might want to review the work that one of his faculty is attempting to publish in the near future. 1 Recommend Flag as Inappropriate Michaela I. Fissel August 31, 2013 at 04:58 PM Isn't it interesting that the 60 teachers and administrators; along with 50 high school student parents were also withheld from the study? 1 Recommend Flag as Inappropriate Avon Lady August 31, 2013 at 05:52 PM Intentional skewing of the facts to get the results that he wants he has shown the racism that he wanted to show instead of the truth about the school & the town that until he & his cohorts came to town this community didn't have a racial problem until they created it - why is there no uproar against the Common Core program which the Frederick Douglas Foundation has blasted as being quite detrimental to the Black Community as well as the White Community as it will track the students & keep them oppressed as it lowers the standards & does away with the Honors Program Classes? Recommend Flag as Inappropriate George Slate August 31, 2013 at 07:38 PM At the meeting last night, 1) I asked Dr. James in the hallway what happened to the missing student, and 2) I identified the lost students by race. I'll update this matter in a new posting. I fear that these "LOST" students could have reversed the MJLU findings. If I am wrong, then telling us about the lost students will put my mind at rest.
