Watkinson School to host athletic open house

Watkinson School in Hartford will host an Athletic open house on Wednesday, January 15th at 7pm.  Athletes from all over the Hartford area are invited to attend this special night and are welcome to watch the GIrl’s Varsity basketball vs. Christian Heritage at 4:00pm and the Boy’s Varsity basketball vs. Harvey School at 5:30pm.

Watkinson Athletic Director, Kerry Boyle will talk about the mission of Watkinson Athletics and a number of alums will recount their experience as well.  Varsity coaches will be available to answer questions about their sport specific program as well as current Watkinson athletes.  Watkinson has won three New England titles in boys soccer, a New England title in girls basketball, boys basketball and softball.  The girls lacrosse team has four league championships.  Currently there are over 20 Watkinson alumni playing on the collegiate level.  Watkinson prides itself on having 80% of our athletes play more than one Varsity sport, some of whom are three sport Varsity athletes.
