The Impracticality of Modern-Day Mastodons

When
everyone becomes what they wanted to be when they grew up, the world
is suddenly full of astronauts, ballerinas, and one bewildered
mastodon. A brand-new, off-beat comedy about ambition, vocation, and
impractical beasts by award-winning Connecticut playwright Rachel
Teagle, featuring a kinetic sculpture by Anne Cubberly. This play is
the fourth in the theater's “Connecticut-Grown” series, featuring
works by local authors from page to stage.

The
cast features Lisa DelCegno of Rocky Hill as Jess, Brett Aiello of
Southington as Clint, Vickie Blake of Clinton as Delores, Robb Ecker
of Groton as a puppeteer, and Jill Dvorsky of Meriden, Joshua Ives of
New Britain, and Abby Auden of Colchester in multiple roles. The show
is directed by Jake Williams of Hartford, with Tony Palmieri of New
Britain.

This
brand new play opens August 1st
and continuing through August 23rd.
The performances are on Friday and Saturday Nights at 8:00 PM, with
two Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM (August 10 & 17). Tickets are
available by calling (860) 229-3049 or visiting The Hole in the Wall
