of America’s foremost youth program for boys—Cub Scouting. Pack 203 will be having a sign-up night during their first Pack Meeting, which will be held on September 12 at First Church- Nelson Hall at 6 PM. Please plan to arrive at 5:45 PM.
Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades. The program
combines outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting
program that helps families teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship, and
respect. Last year, more than 50,000 youth participated in Scouting programs
across Connecticut!
At the meeting boys will have an opportunity to meet other Scouts and interested
boys and participate in a game. Pack 203 will run a Pack Meeting where parents and their boys will learn about some of the activities the cub scouts have been involved in, and what activities are yet to come. Boys who join that night will also be assigned to Dens so they can start the experience immediately.
Parents
can learn more about the local
unit’s activities and how Scouting can benefit their child. There will be registration forms and registration fees will be due the same night.
