Open Studios

The Windsor Art Center is delighted to announce that on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 from 10AM-4PM, the Windsor Art Center Studios, formerly Windsor Station, will open its doors to the public, allowing a unique opportunity for visitors to meet the artists in residence and see their creative processes in their studio spaces. Work by all of the artists will be for sale, providing a fantastic opportunity for visitors to get a head start on holiday shopping or to take home their own unique treasures.

The Windsor Art Center Studios recently celebrated its grand opening in September with Art Center members and directors, town officials, and the general public and has since transformed into a vibrant home for artists and visual arts classes and workshops. Those wishing to attend the Open Studios on October 12th can meet the Windsor Art Center Studios four artists in residence: Catherine Doocy, a painter who has shown work all over New England and beyond; Evelyn Pelati, a metalsmith and jeweler whose work has received numerous awards and features a “modern retro” feel; LeaAnn Cogswell, a sculptor who has won national awards for her work; and Nicola Sinclair, a painter whose award-winning work has been shown in many states.

The Open Studios will take place one Saturday each month, with the first Open Studios scheduled for Saturday, October 12th from 10 AM-4 PM and the next Open Studios scheduled for Saturday, November 30th from 10 AM- 4 PM.  The Windsor Art Center Studios are located at 35 Central Street in Windsor, CT.  For more information about future Open Studios or about the artists, please call 860-688-2528 or visit www.windsorartcenter.org.
