Open Days Program Garden Tour - Greater Hartford Region

Explore six
private gardens in Bloomfield, Glastonbury, Meriden, West Hartford, and
Windsor, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden
Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Highlights include
extensive container plantings of non-hardy exotics, daylily, clematis, dwarf
conifer, and willow collections, a Japanese-style garden reached by a
footbridge, expansive perennial borders, vegetable gardens, and garden art
including a mosaic blue heron.





Visitors may
begin the tour at any of the following locations: Another Roadside Attraction –
Gardens of Sharon & David Mann, 1 Adams Road, Bloomfield; Terrace Hill Farm
– Garden of Cheryl Fox & Phillip Douville, 27 Duncaster Road, Bloomfield;
The Murray Gardens, 576 Thompson Street, Glastonbury; Garden of George Trecina,
341 Spring Street, Meriden (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.); Garden of Sara M. Knight, 18
High Farms Road, West Hartford; or Kaleidoscope, 7 Pheasant Run, Windsor.



Cost: $5 per garden;
children 12 & under free
