McLean will host a Memory Care Symposium

The Atwater at McLean will be hosting a free Memory Care Symposium on Tuesday, November 19 from 10:00am until 1:00pm in the Health Center building. This event is open to the public and everyone is invited to come by between 10:00am and 1:00pm to learn about McLean’s resources available for those with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, their caregivers, and their families. 

The event will feature:
• McLean’s Memory Care professionals to share stories and tips
• Memory Care Volunteers to provide information on our program
• Care Consultants to offer strategies for developing a care plan
• Members of the Adult Day Program to discuss options for day stays
• Life Enrichment professionals to offer tips on keeping loved ones engaged
• “Always my Grandpa” children’s book author, Linda Scacco, PhD., to offer helpful suggestions on how to explain the disease to children
