Guiding Eyes for the Blind Puppy Raising Orientation Classes – Northern Connecticut

Open your heart and home to a future guide dog
puppy. Learn what it’s like to be a Guiding Eyes for
the Blind puppy raiser from Guiding Eyes staff, volunteers and guide dogs in
training. Puppy raisers
take 8 week old pups into their homes to love, nurture, and educate for a 12 to
16 month period before sending them off to their calling as a guide dog for a
blind or visually impaired person. The orientation series begins October 14 and
prospective
volunteers must attend all three classes to become a puppy raiser. 6pm – 8pm.
Free. RSVP required. First Congregational Church, 219 North
Granby Rd, Granby, CT 06035. 845-490-0143. mhollis@guidingeyes.org. www.guidingeyes.org/volunteer/puppy-raising.
