Chrysalis Center recognizes the contribution
our veterans have made to our nation and the ongoing challenges they face. Sharon L. Castelli, Chrysalis
Center CEO said that “We are proud to remember our veterans, particularly on
this day. We know that some veterans struggle with mental illness and substance abuse which
often leaves them homeless. Our goal through our Veterans Support Services is
to provide these individuals with housing subsidies and ongoing support
to re-build their lives.
The VA has a
goal to end veterans’ homelessness by 2015 and Chrysalis continues to expand
its role and contribute by helping veterans—our nation’s finest men and women,
to live in homes with dignity and pride.”
