Town Offers Free Sand, Salt; Parking Rules in Effect

Everything from where it's illegal to park to where you can pick up free salt and sand.

Saturday brought the first significant snow fall in town since October 2011, and it also brings importance to a few policies and practices in Windsor that are intended to make residents' winter a bit easier.

The Department of Public Works reminds residents that no parking is allowed on Windsor streets between the hours of 1 a.m. - 6 a.m. In addtion, no cars are allowed to be parked on the street during a snow storm that has lasted more than one hour.

Now that the snow has passed and temperatures remain cold, many will turn to the maintenance of paths cleared sometime Saturday.
