Windsor Power Outages Reduced Significantly
CL&P workers made significant gains in restoration efforts in town Tuesday night.
While power outage percentages in Windsor clung to middle and low double-digit figures for the bulk of Tuesday, outages were reduced to five percent overnight.
Five percent equals just over 700 Windsor CL&P customers without power as of 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday.
The number of powerless customers statewide has decreased from more than 600,000 to about 350,000, according to CL&P reports.

According to CL&P, the utility deployed 1,000 line workers, 600 tree workers and 500 service electricians to tend to outages throughout the state.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, CL&P restored power to more than 200,000 customers in a 30-hour period.

Despite the progress and a clear light at the end of the powerless tunnel, the company is still not offering time estimates for restorations.
If outages persist or occur over the next few days, CL&P encourages residents to call 800-286-2000.
