Windsor Power Outages Reduced Significantly

CL&P workers made significant gains in restoration efforts in town Tuesday night.

While power outage percentages in Windsor clung to middle and low double-digit figures for the bulk of Tuesday, outages were reduced to five percent overnight.

Five percent equals just over 700 Windsor CL&P customers without power as of 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

The number of powerless customers statewide has decreased from more than 600,000 to about 350,000, according to CL&P reports.

Despite the progress and a clear light at the end of the powerless tunnel, the company is still not offering time estimates for restorations.

If outages persist or occur over the next few days, CL&P encourages residents to call 800-286-2000.
