Dog Park Seeks Resident Input

"Yappy Hour" will be held tonight.

Ever since the dog park in Windsor was proposed, passionate dog owners have yearned for a place to bring their pets to exercise and get to know one another.  When it became a reality, pets townwide celebrated.

This Thursday, June 30, residents and dog owners are invited to join the dog park committee to give input on what they feel could make the dog park an even more canine-friendly place to play.

"We're always looking for new volunteers," said Dog Park President Liz Hoffman.  "We want to hear what owners have to say, what their concerns are and increase the overall involvement," she said.  Hoffman would generally like to see an awareness of the park increased as well as network with other dog owners.

Recently, volunteers cleared the dog park of mushroooms for the safety of the dogs, but help is always needed.

If you would like to get involved, or you just have some good ideas for the dog park, the committee is holding an event Thursday, June 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the park, located on the grounds of Northwest Park.
