What's Open On The Fourth Of July

It's a holiday, and that means some offices are closed. Here's a list of what's open and what's not today.

It's Independence Day, and that means you're likely preparing to barbecue, enjoy fireworks and spend time with friend and family members. There's a good chance, however, that you'll have to run out to the store; perhaps you've discovered you're running low on ketchup, or you're going to host more guests than anticipated or you're planning to get some errands done with the extra day away from work.

No matter what you're needs are, getting things done on a holiday can be tricky. Not everything is open. So we've compiled a brief list of what's closed and what's open today:

Open

  • Public pools
  • State and municipal parks (State parks' parking lots will close when they reach capacity)
  • Most retail stores
  • Most supermarkets
  • Beaches
