Update: Tornado Warning, Flood Advisory Issued for Windsor

Friday's storms are predicted to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the area.

Update; 5:10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for Hartford County, meaning a tornado has either been spotted, or radar has picked up activity indicating the presence of a tornado. The warning is in effect until 5:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued both a Tornado Watch and a Flood Advisory for the Windsor and surrounding areas Friday afternoon. 

Friday's storms are expected to bring gusty winds and heavy rain to the area, according to the National Weather Service, including the possibility of thunderstorms. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation, with rainfall amounts between a 10th to a quarter of an inch, although the thunderstorms could lead to higher amounts of rain and flash flooding.

The tornado watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
