Photos: Irene and the Damage Done

A look at Hurricane Irene from start to finish.

Irene approached New England as a category 1 storm, but was quickly downgraded to a tropical storm as she made landfall on Sunday. While Windsor was largely spared from the storms true force, the town was no left untouched.

By Monday, more than 3,000 homes (24 percent of households) were left without power Sunday night.
