Photos: Despite Heat, Hundreds Come To See Nifty Fifties On Town Green

Hot weather, hot music on the green

Windsor Chamber of Commerce and First Town Downtown welcomed the band Nifty Fifties to the stage last night.  Despite the intense heat, the event had a couple of hundred music appreciators in attendance.

The charismatic group, Nifty Fifties put on a great show playing songs dating back to the 1950's.  All three of the front men sang and as usual all the kids were dancing on the sidewalk.

Nifty Fifties definitely has a fun, retro style and called on songs like "Grease Lightnin'" to get the crowd in the mood. Jonny Adams, the group's frontman, donned several different voices and personas to match the songs he sang.  The group also included the talents of lead guitarist Mike "the Spike" Armentano, rhythm guitarist Charlie“ Bones” Uzanas, bass player of Marty "Buggs" Moran and drummer Steve "Greased Lightning" Armentano.
