Halloween is on in Windsor!

Town officials address the safety of trick-or-treating in town Wednesday.

Sandy tried her best, but she could not cause Halloween to be cancelled for the second consecutive year in Windsor.

There are no restrictions on Halloween celebrations or trick-or-treating tonight,according to Town Manager Peter Souza, so parents, get the kids' costumes out and homeowners, get the candy ready.

Souza says families should "take caution, be safe and enjoy."

In addition, First Town Downtown's Nightmare on Broad Street will be held in town center tonight, which will include walk-around trick-or-treating at town businesses around the green, hayrides, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, trapeze artists, a magician and more.

Nightmare on Broad Street will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
