Good News: Spring Has Sprung in Windsor (Sort of)

With April just around the corner, few things sound better than the possibility winter has passed. The best thing about it is there's evidence around town.

With nightly temperatures just barely above freezing and days that have been in the fifties — albeit windy and cloudy at times — winter is hanging on for dear life.

Despite its efforts, there are signs of spring across town. All you have to do is take a very close look.

That's what I did yesterday in town, and I came across a few pieces of evidence that, while they may not say spring is here and flourishing, say spring its cooler sibling with everything its got, and it's gotten in some good shots.

Not only are there a few buds growing on trees, but the Lions are on the town green selling their Easter plants. They'll be there through Saturday, so stop by and support their efforts if you can.

Additionally, Weather.com forecasts a high of 58ºF on Friday (That's almost shorts weather, right?) and mid 50's through April 7. There's a brief, two-day dip into the upper 40's, but we won't talk about that.
