Flood Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch effective until 9 p.m. for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties.

Total rainfall amounts between two to four inches are possible, according to the warning issued.

According to the National Weather Service, the amount of rainfall "will result in sharp rises on rivers and streams today.

"A few rivers may approach or even exceed bankfull if locally heavier rainfall continues."

"Flooding of urban and poor-drainage areas is likely," the Service added.
