Firefighters Respond to Barber Street Fire

Barber Street was temporary closed as emergency units responded to a call for service Thursday.

Barber Street was temporarily closed Thursday afternoon as emergency units responded to a reported fire in a home.

The blaze was defeated and fire units left the scene within an hour of their arrival.

No injuries were reported; the home did not sustain extensive damage, according to Assistant Fire Chief Steve Bianchi.
