Snow Could Cause "Widespread Power Outages"

Slippery conditions are expected to come with the possibility of power outages and flooding along the coast.

While many are still shell shocked form the severity of last winter's snowfall, mother nature hasn't missed a beat and has decided to mix things up a little early this year.

As a result, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather watch this morning, saying "a strong and early season winter storm will affect much of southern New England this weekend."

Wet and snowy weather is expected, but it could be unusually disruptive as "with leaves still on the trees this heavy, wet snow could cause branches to break with power outages possible," the weather agency has reported.
