Citing a review of CL&P's performance by the Hearst Connecticut Newspapers, the CTPost.com report says "CL&P struggled to get crews into the field for days after the storm," despite the company's claim that it had 800 line and tree crews ready one day before the storm.
In stark contrast, the day after Irene, CTPost says, CL&P managed to dispatch 192 line crews -- a number that "dwindled down to 171 line crews and 76 tree crews."
