CL&P: Windsor to Get Power Restored Sunday

Residents will be without power until Sunday, the utility said Wednesday morning.

Connectictut Light & Power released estimates for power restoration in its customer towns across the state Wednesday, saying that they estimate Windsor residents will have power restored by Sun., Nov. 6 at 11:59 p.m.

As of Wednesday morning, CL&P's outage map reports that Windsor has gained 5 percent power since Sunday.

Accordingly, locations have slowly begun to open across town. Bart's and the Dairy Bar were open Tuesday, in addition to restaurants and gas stations that have operated since Sunday and Monday, including Dom's Broad Street Eatery and Tunxis Grille.

The main library will be open Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

According to CL&P, a number of communities have already been restored to 99 percent power, including Branford, Clinton, Essex and Putnam.

Killingworth and Guilford are among the towns that will be restored to 99 percent by midnight Wednesday, and CL&P lists towns that will slowly be restored throughout the week and weekend, the vast majority of which are listed alongside Windsor for an estimated restoration time of Sunday by midnight.
