Cangemi Brothers Lead Town's Memorial Day Services

Having returned from service in Afghanistan, the Windsor brothers led Windsor's Memorial Day parade and services on the Town Green.

It was a relief to set foot on American soil once again, Windsor's Nick Cangemi told a Town Green full of Memorial Day observers.

On Sunday, Cangemi and his brother, Chris, served as co-grand marshal's of Windsor's Memorial Day parade, and addressed a crowd of hundreds, expressing the honor felt aftern being chosen to lead their hometown's services, and describing the bond they've built between themselves and other veterans through their service in Afghanistan.

The Cangemi brothers, both Senior Airmen with the United States Air Force Connecticut Air National Guard 103rd, returned home safely to Windsor in February.

During their tours of duty, Nic and Chris worked to set up bases for incoming troops across Afghanistan, working in utilities and water fuel systems management, and pavement and heavy equipment operation, respectively.
