Beat the Clock Auction Prizes Announced

Below is a description of the various auctions to be held on Saturday. See included .pdf document (right) for a list of all prizes to be auctioned.

BEAT THE CLOCK

Purchase coins at any time all night: 42 coins for $20; 20 for $10; 10 for $5, $.50 each

A computerized timer is set to go off at random intervals. To bid, hand a coin to any of the people holding up numbered signs. The auctioneer reads aloud the numbers he sees and each sign is lowered when its number is called. When the buzzer sounds, the person who pays the coin for the last number called, wins.

BLIND AUCTION

Although sets of gift certificates are numbered in this booklet, they will not be auctioned in the order they appear. Auctioneers do not identify the number of the item being bid, but you can count on them to give a few clues. It’s fun and always full of surprises!

SILENT AUCTION

Bid by writing the amount you want to bid and signing your name on the specific bid sheet. Come back periodically to see whether you have been outbid. As the auction continues, more people sign bid sheets, and the prices increase. Write a new amount if you are willing to increase your bid, and sign your name on the bid sheet again. Wait for the closing of the sale to be announced by the Auctioneers – at the end of the auction period, the last one to bid (the one with the highest bid) is the winner

HEADS OR TAILS CONTEST

Buy a $20 Blinky Necklace any time during the evening for a chance to win a 42” LG 1080p 120hz LED-LCD Television. Everyone with a Blinking Necklace stands. Hands on Head for Heads, and Hands on Bottom for Tails. We’ll flip a coin. Those choosing correctly stay in the contest. All others sit down. We’ll play until there is one person left standing – the winner of the TV!
