Full Disclosure of Money Spent on EER Study

Full Disclosure of Money Spent on EER Study

It has come to the attention of Concerned Mothers and Fathers that a Windsor citizen has contacted Andrew Ferguson (860) 713-6793 at the Connecticut State Department of Education in regards to questions and concerns related to the Alliance Grant for the EER Study-Year 1.  The citizen attended the September 17th Windsor Board of Education meeting and there were funding questions from Board of Education Members involving the $120,000 Alliance Grant which funded the EER Study. The citizen perceived that the Superintendent and Board President were extremely curt and evasive to the Board Members with no clear answers. This prompted the citizen to contact individuals at the Connecticut State Department of Education and was referred to Mr. Ferguson.  The citizen respectfully requested that Mr. Ferguson assist in gathering pertinent information to clarify how the state money was spent on the EER Study-Year 1. The citizen also requested that there should be no awarding of a second Alliance Grant- Year 2 until there is full disclosure of how the state money was spent on the EER Study-Year 1.  Mr. Ferguson commented, he had not read the study as of today and he would make calls and look into this.  He also said that the citizen should call him after next week’s Special Board of Education meeting on Thursday, September 26th at L.P. Wilson and then we can discuss this further.  Windsor Citizens deserve full disclosure, honesty, and respectfulness on this matter.  We encourage Windsor Citizens to contact Andrew Ferguson (860) 713-6793 with any questions you may have regarding the funding of the EER Study.

As always Concerned Mothers and Fathers appreciate your thoughts and comments.
