THE MDC HOSTS SMALL CONTRACTOR DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

 (HARTFORD, CT) – On Tuesday August 6th, the Metropolitan District (MDC) will host its 2013 Small Contractor Development & Executive Leadership Academy at the MDC's Training Center located at 125 Maxim Road, Hartford, CT.  The goal of the Academy is to provide small businesses with information and guidance regarding upcoming contracting opportunities and business development tools.  In a few short hours participants will:  ·        Receive updated information regarding MDC's Clean Water Project contract opportunities for 2013 and beyond. ·        Develop and improve their ability to effectively market goods and services to MDC Prime General Contractors. ·        Meet one on one with MDC Prime General Contractors during the Business to Buyer Match Maker session. ·        Access information and assistance in obtaining project financing, bonding, payroll, insurance and related services from state, local and national resources.   Small businesses can register by:Emailing zdavis@themdc.com the name of your business and the person(s) who will be attending along with a phone number.PARTNERS INCLUDE:The US SBA, CT AGC, Capital Community College, HEDCo and the US EPA New England Region,Office of Small Business Programs.
